DISTRIBUTION
From the mountains surrounding the Little Karoo growing on acidic, quartzitic sandstones.

CHARACTERS
The Adro with mealy, white farinose, crowded leaves. Red spotted forms are rare in habitat and impossible to repeat under glass. With age, stems can become covered with root hairs on some clones.

CULTIVATION
This beautiful species is slow in cultivation. Winter growing. Do not over-pot.

COMMENTS
Nice petite forms have been found in the central Little Karoo, SE. Anysberg.

which does not stay red in cultivation.
