ADROMISCHUS ROANIANUS Uitewaal
(A. roaneanus in error)
Section: 1 Adromischus

DISTRIBUTION
Cliff-dwelling(?) in the Bokkeveldberge.

CHARACTERS

Separated by Tölken using flat, grey-green leaves, elongated internodes and slender stems often zig-zagging. Small whitish flowers.

Adromischus roanianus / roaneanus
A. roanianus, SUG 6058A, clonotype material, from Vanrhynspas and BM85/34 from Grasberg Farm.

COMMENTS

I have never found plants in South Africa exactly matching the widely-cultivated type material. I have found plants with a horny margin around the leaf, but zig-zagging stems appear to be very rare. The variable A. hemisphaericus grows throughout the Bokkeveldberge and Tölken may have confused the two.
