Also separated from A. cristatus var. cristatus are varieties mzimvubuensis, schonlandii and zeyheri.



DISTRIBUTION

Grahamstown area to East London.

CHARACTERS
Very similar to the typical variety and doubtfully separate. Tölken distinguished this variety by longer leaves, 2-5 times the width.

COMMENTS
Purple markings at the leaf ends increase upon more easterly forms.
