The taxonomy
here is based upon Helmut Tölken’s Flora of Southern Africa, Volume 14 Crassulaceae
(1985), but updated: 29 species, 6 subspecies, 4
varieties & 8 unranked taxa under A.
marianiae are recognised. All are illustrated, using habitat images where
available. Even so, this presents a simplistic
overview - lack of resources does not permit a
full display of their natural
variation
and problematic individuals & populations.
